Rootlynq for Windows
A read-only diagnostic app with Helios chat built in. It sees what a browser can't — your PC's adapters, Wi-Fi link and router response — and its Offline Rescue Mode works even when you're not connected.
About this Early Access build
This build is not code-signed yet. That's normal for an early release, and it means Windows may show an "unknown publisher" or reputation prompt when you run the installer. The steps below explain how to verify the file yourself before installing.
Rootlynq will never ask you to turn off Microsoft Defender, Smart App Control, your antivirus, or an employer security policy. If Windows or your company's policy blocks the installer with no normal way to continue, stop there — you can keep using Rootlynq in your browser, or ask your IT team to review the installer.
Install in four steps
- Download the installer from this page on rootlynq.com — nowhere else.
- Verify the source and SHA-256 checksum (below) so you know the file is exactly the one we published.
- Review any Windows prompt. An "unknown publisher" or reputation message is expected for this unsigned Early Access build. Only continue if the file name and hash match.
- Approve the administrator install, then sign in to your Rootlynq account inside the app to activate Helios chat.

- The app activates with your Rootlynq account and renews once a month while you're online.

- If you lose internet, Helios features keep working for up to seven days after the last successful check-in.

- Always available, even without an account or internet: local checks and step-by-step guidance to help you get back online.

What the agent measures
- Network adapters
- Which adapters are connected, whether Wi-Fi or Ethernet is active, and whether a VPN adapter may be present. A possible VPN is a clue, not proof of an active tunnel.
- Wi-Fi link quality
- The link-quality percentage Windows reports for the current Wi-Fi connection.
- Gateway response
- A short local ping to your router (default gateway) to measure its median response time.
- DNS and internet reachability
- A first-party DNS lookup and TCP connection check to confirm your PC can reach the internet.
- Device and router model
- Manufacturer and model names when Windows or the router openly reports them.
Privacy
Before evidence reaches Helios, Rootlynq drops local IP addresses, public IP, serial numbers, Wi-Fi network names and hardware identifiers. Nothing is uploaded in the background, and the app contains no analytics or advertising trackers. See the Privacy Notice and Providers.
Current limitations
- Early Access: expect rough edges and changes between versions.
- Read-only: it never changes adapter, router, DNS or firewall settings.
- Bridge-mode ONT/ONU equipment, optical levels, provider alarms and exact ONT counters can remain unavailable without supported provider or local access.
- Does not scan other devices on your network or capture traffic.
- Windows 10/11 on x64 only. ARM64, macOS and mobile are not supported yet.
- Helios chat is text only in the app for now. Voice is not available offline.
Verify your download (SHA-256)
Before running the installer, confirm it matches the published checksum. In PowerShell, in your Downloads folder:
