Cookies
Rootlynq itself sets no cookies. The small Cloudflare measurement-node lookup when Test opens and speed-test requests after Start are sent without credentials. The returned node code stays in page memory and adds no browser storage. Hosting infrastructure may use strictly necessary cookies for security; none are used for advertising or analytics.
Local storage
rootlynq.settings.v1 — your preferences.
Saved reports — up to 20, removed after 30 days.
Session storage — the active troubleshooting case used to carry Test → Diagnose → Resolve, including optional user-reported troubleshooting context and recent technician conversation turns.
Cache storage
If the installable app shell is enabled, the browser may cache application files for offline use. No measurement data is cached there.
Clearing data
Settings → Delete everything removes reports and preferences. You can also clear site data in your browser settings.
If storage is disabled
Tests still run, but results cannot be saved and preferences reset on reload.
No consent banner
Because no optional tracking technology is used, Rootlynq does not show a cookie banner.
